William Selman Guest was born July 3, 1913, in Rome, Georgia. He received his commission as Ensign in the U.S. Navy in 1935, and advanced through grades to the rank of rear admiral in 1962. James Walter Wilson was born in Rawlins, Wyoming in 1917.
