William Selman Guest was born July 3, 1913, in Rome, Georgia. He received his commission as Ensign in the U.S. Navy in 1935, and advanced through grades to the rank of rear admiral in 1962. He served as commander of Military Sealift, Pacific, from 1970 to 1974. Guest died on August 13, 1992, in San Diego, California. From the description of Guest, William S. James Walter Wilson was born in Rawlins, Wyoming in 1917. He completed high school in Bowling Green, Ohio, and in July 1935 entered the U.S. Military Academy at West Point., graduating four years later. In September 1939 he entered Glenview School of Aeronautics, and in December transferred to Kelly and Randolph fields, Texas, where he completed flying training in July 1940.
